Good morning. I have suffered with migraine with aura for over 40 years. The last 10 years being the worse. I would like to know if their is anyone else who has had chronic migraines and found it has affected their ability to remember and problem solve. I read a news article recently that suggested that each migraine attack deprives the affected portion of the brain oxygen--therefore brain loss. P.S: I also have moderate anxiety which I am taking 15 mg buspirone for. Thank you.

I know that when I have my postdrome , my memory and problem solving skills suffer. Between migraines... I'm not sure.

Thank you for the reply. My concern is: I am having memory problems when I am not in a migraine. I am beginning to believe my brain has been damaged due to all the migraines.

I am right here with you Steve. I have been having daily hemiplegic migraines for almost 2 years now. I seriously believe I am having some type of memory damage because of it. I used to have a excellent memory not that long ago and have noticed the sharp decline in it since these migraines began almost 4 years ago. Even when I had months of no migraine activity my memory was definitely different that what it was before these headaches began.

My doctor swears that once my daily migraines resolve my memory will return intact. But I am convinced that they do not know enough about these type of migraines to make that statement so boldl
