Hi -

I have suffered for just under one year with a headache...My doctor at Jefferson is working on getting me in at Methodist Hospital in early March to try to break the cycle.  Can anyone tell me what to expect?  I'm reading that alot of folks have to break off the "pain" relievers that I have refused...I only take Neurontin and Piroxicam presently, which aren't working.  Along with my headache, I have a tingly tongue.  One neurologist says it isn't associated with my headache, Jefferson says it is, since it all came together.  Will I be awake enough to use a laptop there, have visitors, eat normal food?  I'm at a loss and appreciate any advice you can offer.

I wish you much luck with your appt and especially in breaking your pain cycle. i have tried so many things and have had no luck in the last ten years. I still suffer from daily terrible headaches. I would call the hospital that will be doing the testing and ask them what will be involved.

I wish you much luck and hope you can come back to tell us how things went for you.
