Tension Migraine

I'm new to the forum & wondering if anyone has heard of this. My debilitating head pain had been diagnosed as "Tension Migraine" and to relieve it a cocktail of liquid Ibuprofen, Tylenol & Benedryl. This is after I've had scans, bloodwork, etc. The pain has been with me for 9 days now. This concocktion does relieve it for a while but it then comes back.

Just wanted to add an update......After 10 days of this "Tension Migraine" it is gradually becoming less & less each day with the help of the OTC liquid pain meds cocktail. If anyone else would like to try it or ask their doctor about it I would be glad to share the ingredients & amounts as they were prescribed for me. It is not a cure but did get me relief during these 10 days which has been a huge help. Let me know if I can help anyone.

Interesting diagnosis. I have been told I had tension headaches or migraines. I went to a neurologist and she believes I have migraines but my primary was thinking that I have tension headaches. I didn't know it could be a tension migraine. I have symptoms of both migraine and tension.

What were you prescribed for your headache & did it help? This OTC concoction they prescribed sure did give me relief for several hours at a time.
