Hi Everyone, I am desprate for some advise. I am a 20 year old women and I have had a migrain 7 days a week since I was 5. THey have tested me for braintumors, every disease you could emagine. I have tried every migrain pill there is the only thing that has helped is axert but I cant get it anymore adn I have become amune. I have lived off of advil, Ib-pro, and tylonal my whole life these pills have now eaten my stomach and now have peptic ulcers. I have tried different diets seeing if something I ate was triggering them. I have tried everything there is to . I am asking if anyone has something different or could help in anyway. These migtrains have run my whole life I spend most of my time in bed , it has really affected my buisness on my farm. Please help if you can suggest anything for me.

Thank You

There's a lot of missing information, and so generalization and redundant advice...well...
Have you seen a headache specialist, a neuro who specializes in intractable migraine or headache?
The meds you've listed are high on the list for causing rebound; if you have been taking these meds daily or almost daily you most likely are in rebound and this is tough to break and deal with. The more you take, the more headache you'll have; a vicious cycle; depending on the severity, one that may need hospitalization to break.
You're right, these meds will cause a significant amount of stomach/intestinal and liver problems...even more reason to get with a specialist. When I talk about a specialist...I mean a GREAT one.
I don't know where you live, but chances are you will have to travel to get to someone who really is good; the best I know is Dr. Todd Rozen; he was my doc for years at MHNI in Ann Arbor, but is now at Geisinger in Pennsyvania.
If you give me some details, I may be able to give you some additional information.
Good luck,
Janice

Yes I have seen several nuero doctors , headache doctors, have had ever test adn scan and have tried everything recommended to me. I have been off of advil ect for a few months now due to my stomache ulcers. But I cant not take anything when I have a migrain or it gets worse every 30 min. the pills at least take the edge off. My migrains have gotton as far as temperary blindness during the migrain. I have collapsed adn blacked out. Honestly I have had one so bad that I was honestly thinking of suicide while laying in bed. I lost my education cause I was never in school always in bed. I have lost alot in my life that they have taken from me and I am open to trying more tricks people may have I am going to give this b4 vitiman a try. I cant afford to travel, all the different specilists I have seen have given up. I have been latly woundering if my teeth are whats causing them. I have a large overbite. But I had had a referal to the dentist and being that I am not covered the surgerys , braces nad ect. would at the min. be 15 grand. If you or anyone have any more ideas I am open to trying them.

Thnx

Do you know what your triggers are? It is so important to keep a journal of activities, food, sleep, weather, etc...to try and look for a pattern. The blindness is probably a migraine aura - do you have any other aura symptoms? We unfortunately have to be our own detectives. You listed a few abortive meds - have you tried any of the preventatives like triptans, elavil, neurontin etc...? The lost days can be so depressing - do you have someone you can talk to about your suicidal thoughts? Support is so crucial to managing our migraines. Please keep us posted. Leslie

I have kept a journal and a migrain chat, but nothing adds up . I have tried coming off different foods such as all sugar, msg anything artifichial. I have tried 3 different preventicve pills nothing worked as usuall. The strange thing is my migrains 90 % of the time are in the exact same spot. Above my right eye. they have checked into that I have gotton glasses to releave my eyes . I have tried bite plates at night to see i grind my teeth, no different there. I always have to stay hidrated. And because of my peptic ulcers I have to always have something in my stomach and I have been living off of gingerale so I have put on 35 Ib this winter.from all the gingerale. They have tested me for diabetic, cancer even. low blood presure, thyroid, all the nuero's I saw had nothing more to suggest. Today I am going to start the vitiman B theroy I will see if that makes a difference. they have also started me on birth control the past 3 months to see if it was hormones but the pills made my migrains happen even more. I have tried temple massages , I have also gone to the cyropractor and had my neck and spine cracked, I actually had a minie stroke from the neck snap I past out. They said thats has been happening to alot of people. I did talk to someone about the depression during migrains , but that was along time ago and havnt thought of it since, it was just a migrain that was so bad I couldnt coap anymore.
