Hi, I'm new here so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting a new topic. I have started to suffer from dreadfully painful migraines on the right hand side of my head, they start behind my eye and spread down past my ear. I have had 2 of these early in the morning 2 days out of the last three. I am really confused as to what they could be caused by. I used to suffer from Migraine aura but never had any pain, now I seem to have the pain but no aura. I stopped having aura after I stopped the pill, however I am now trying for a baby and I am about a week late, could the migraines be a sign? I know the only way to try is to have a test but this is difficult for me as I have previously had 2 miscarriages and I am frightened to know. However the pain I have been experiencing over the past couple of days is the worst head pain I have ever felt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am 28. Thank you in advance.

Hi..........sorry that you are having so much pain. Migraine symptoms can certainly change over time - they always keep us on our toes! It sounds like your previous aura-only migraines might have been hormonally triggered. Did you have any other triggers? It could be that a change in hormones could be triggering the pain. Have you been doing/eating anything differently lately? Any neck or upper back issues? We are our own best detectives in trying to figure out what our triggers are and what works best in dealing with our symptoms. If the migraines continue please contact a doc but if you might be pregnant you would of course have to be careful with any medications. Have you tried ice or heat to help manage the pain? Massage? Stay in touch. Leslie
