Today I had 4 separate episodes stacked on top of one another. I always get an aura for 45 minutes and then the symptoms take over and the aura is gone. Typically I gut it out and continue with my day because most people don't get what a migraine is and if you say you have one they usually say yeah I had a headache yesterday, not really knowing what they are saying. I have had them since July 1994 when I went to the hospital for dehydration and even the Dr. there tried to say I was lying about my symptoms. I usually get them between 5-7 times per year during stressful times or if I eat chocolate, so I haven't had chocolate since 2000. Today I started the aura at 11:45 and took some medication, that aura lasted about 45 minutes and the symptoms hit, right away another aura started with the same cycle. Then 3 hours later another aura started and I went to sleep because that helps sometimes, when I woke an hour later the aura had left and soon after another started. Needless to say I feel awful and I am not sure why this happened. I am a 34 year old male and things are stressful but no more than anything else before, I just got punished with migraines today. I do have a history of concussions and have a high risk of stroke, is this a precursor to something coming? Somewhat concerned about this.

All I can suggest from my experiences is that whenever there is a change in your migraine patterns it is best to check in with your doc. Migraine symptoms do change over time - in symptoms and in frequency but it is always best to make sure that something else is not going on. I hope you have a better day tomorrow!
