Have been suffering dizzy spells and feeling light-headed, sensitivity to noise and artificial llights, mild headaches, swollen glands, stiff neck, feel spaced out ALL THE TIME, like I'm drunk or something, wobbly legs.  Been off work for 5 MONTHS with these symptoms and eventually got to see a neurologist who told me I am suffering from chronic migraine.  I'm confused.  How can migraine last for 5 months?  There has been no let up in my dizzyness/weird vision, wobbly legs etc. I have been having headaches, but they weren't that bad (although painkillers didn't alleviate the pain), and they weren't every day, perhaps 3 a week.  My ears feel constantly like they are about to pop.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with this condition and had the same symptoms.  I feel very confused, I don't know if this curable, if I will ever feel back to normal i.e. can see properly, not dizzy, full of energy.  I have been told to cut out all caffeine and to stop taking painkillers immediately.  I know my headaches will get worse before they get better but will I ever be able to drive again, will I ever get my energy levels back again?

Please someone help me.  I'm so depressed, it's been going on too long.

I can't offer you any help at the moment, but I can tell you you're not alone. I'm on my 9th month of a continuous migraine. I'm a 31 year old male, have only had migraines once every year or so, and then 9 months ago I wake up to flashing lights for a few seconds, realize then from that point on I'm having a 24/7 visual migraine aura, I see billions of spots and speckles all of the time. My vision is 20/20, I just can't see 1/3 of everything. In combination with that, I have difficulty finding words, writing, typing, I forget things easily, walk to the mailbox 3x a day sometimes, sleep horribly, and my newest symptom is being drunk with vetrtigo, and I've never even drank alcohol a day in my life. When I walk sometimes I require a person on each side of me because the room shifts balance and I fall and stumble, people laugh at me sometimes as if I'm drunk. I've had all the tests, spinal tap, ct x10, mri x5, EEG, bloodwork, seen an ENT, neurologist, MS specialist, seizure specialist, neuroopthomologist, you name it. Some docs say it's "Psychosematic" That I'm creating it for attention, some say it's related to my white matter damage to my brain, which they won't say where THAT is coming from and progressing... but you're not alone. I'm starting on Topamax, but to be honest, I just watched a documentary called Under Our Skin... and I think any person with chronic health issues should consider that possible an offending substance may be attacking multiple organs. "Under Our Skin" is the name, it's about Lymes disease and how our medical community misdiagnosis' it. I pray you find health, I am God gives peace and sustains our health even though it's hard, and if we find healing it's a blessing through Him. My next path is to try the Lyme protocol they recommend, because I'm learning most doctors have been of zero help my entire life.

Hope all goes well!

confused  Sorry you're not well either.  Thanks for bothering to reply to me.  Sounds like you're really suffering.  Can't believe they suggested you were making it up!  I'm gonna see if I can find that documentary on the internet somewhere and I'll watch it.

Felt terrible this morning to be honest with you, because of lack of information about chronic migraine, and because I'm not convinced that it could be the correct diagnosis.  I waited 5 1/2 months to see the neurologist and he spent 5 minutes with me - he read the summary of symptoms I'd prepared for him (because I have so many),  tapped my feet, watched me walk and then gave me the news.  Will have to wait now for a few weeks to see if stopping caffeine (which will cause worse headaches) and the painkillers has any effect on my symptoms, if not, back to square one.

Let me know how you are getting on! Hope my guardian angel looks after me, and yours looks after you!

:-)

Thank you so much! I have been unable to find it ANYWHERES online, however Netflix instant does have it, I think it's only 9 dollars a month for all the movies you can handle, thats where I watched it, but tried to find my dad a link with no luck. I'm sure it's available for download somewhere though instead of instant streaming if you don't have Netflix.

Start looking for a new doctor right away. I had a neurologist who spent no more than 10 minutes with me on the initial appointment and maybe less each one following.

I now go to a headache clinic. Ive now been diagnosed with something that sounds like you have had. NDPH (New daily persistant headache). Ive had it for now 11 months and prior to it, never have had a headache
