confused  My Dad woke up Sunday 7/3/2011 with terrible pains on the left side of his head.  He tried different over the counter medicine with no relief.  Monday night the pain was so horrible he went to the emergency room.  They did cat scan, blood work, MRI (2 types) checked his blood pressure the workes and found nothing wrong.  They put him on a steriod, neroton (spelling?) and percocet.  It started getting some what better so Wednesdaynight they sent him home with neroton to take through out the day.  Once home he started getting the head pains back again and he was sleeping constently and he was loosing his ability to walk or hold a cup to drink.

They changed his medicine to Indocin & Elavil  he said the head pain went away but he still couldn't walk well or hold a cup and now he has been throwing up.  I have been doing some research and can't come up with something conclusive.  The doctors said they will just keep trying drugs till something works but I would really like to know if someone else has these symptoms.  I've looked into Cluster head aches, occipital neuralgia and hemicrania continua but he doesn't have pain in the back of his head or neck just the left side and he can lay down, he doesn't have eye pain and light doesn't effect him so I'm at a loss!
