Hi Im new. Im also shocked by postings here of long horrid journeys it takes to arrive at a particular diagnosis regarding headaches.

So many similar stories here to mine. I finally went to my first neurology visit yesterday after 8 years of seeking, and got told it sounds like intractical migraines with auras.  Also got an upcoming MRI to be scheduled.

Anyway. what got me wondering is what about friends and families around headache sufferers like us?

How do we deal with their frustrations or annoyances and more importantly, their needs?

My family have been rather supportive but I can see them struggling too.
I feel bad leaving them to fend for themselves after a long day at work or school. All the cooking and washing has fallen onto my poor husband and son.

I see them reaching the end of their rope and worry about that.

I wonder if there are little helpful shortcuts for housewives or those who are typically responsible for housewhold to still get a few things done.  Yes, something for a severely photophobia, nausated, sleep 12 hr day shift daily person like me.

Not sure if Im making sense but any suggestions or input would be great.
