I had a cold and tried the lukewarm water therapy to flush my nostrils and this worked but it seems to have given me a side effect resulting from a slight drown. The headache has lasted more than a week and will not stop. I feel it in my head in the nostril that had the drown during the therapy, the right side. Please advice me on what can heal the pain and what may be the problem.
To explain the Lukewarm water therapy, you salt it with water and flush it through a nostril to drain through the other. It is done in turns for both nostrils in a bowed position with the face turned to the side from which water will be flushed. This decongested my nostrils and a day after the cold was gone but the headache from a slight drown in the right nostril up to the top of my head will not stop even after a week.
Any drug or therapy to remedy the situation?
