I've had constant head pressure for almost 8 years.  Mine is 24/7 but it doesn't usually cause pain, just a lot of discomfort and aggravation.
There have been a number of folks who've been to this board and have the same thing.  Unfortunately head pressure does not fit into any kind of diagnosis other than "headache" usually, and most doctors--even neurologists--have no idea what to do about it.  They can offer you migraine drugs, and hope that the drugs work for you.  That's usually about all they can do.
Some people have been helped by such medication, others have not been.  I tried Topamax and it didn't work.  I'm not sure what my next move will be.

Hi, last night I chose chronic pain for my topic, since I cant get a DX. But I am forever seeking help. 15 years I have been in massive head pain. I have been seeing pain mgmt for 8 years now that's why I call my self ans 'wired'. But all the leads that I have implanted don't even help. my daughter referred me to a neurologist who specializes in headaches. I have been diagnosed with migraines but my symtoms say different. My symtoms match up with cervicogenic headache and barre-lieou syndrome. I am preparing my own portfolio catagorized by specialist,CTscans, MRI's, meds, therapies, home remedies, trigger point and nerve blocks under anesthetic...we have all been thru this and I want to tell everyone if your doctor tells you don't self diagnose but your still suffering then find someone else. Don't give up. There is an answer, and one of my answers was to find this forum. I am so greatful to all of you, I know I'm not alone. I will see this new doc on 9/29. Counting the days.
