I suffered with those cramp like sensations in my legs for years, mostly in the evening/nighttime, and like you the only relief I could get was by walking around, not fun at 3am! After a lot of research I realised I had Restless Leg Syndrome which can be linked with low iron levels in your blood.
I started a daily iron supplement and have been symptom free for over 3 months now, what a relief!

As for the headache, typically if its one sided its usually migraine. I have chronic migraine and each one is always slightly different in duration, pain level, area of pain ect......the last one I had gave me a lot of pressure in my ears but if its a new symptom I would get it checked out with your doctor just for peace of mind :)
