At 50mg of Topamax the migraines are gone but the medication has caused unbearable anxiety.
Has anyone put up with this and found the anxiety eventually went away?
How long did it take?

Dear k-k, I would hope that the anxiety is a passing thing, although Topomax has been known to cause it. Topomax worked amazingly well for me, but my side effect was respiratory and I had to stop. I still think about giving it another go; it is the only med, in all these years, that actually worked.
Work with your Dr. to see what can be done. When did you start taking it, when is your next appointment? You may want to call and check in with them; let them know what is going on for you.
Good luck,

Sorry you are having anxiety. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about some anxiety medication that you can take short term to see if it resolves as you adjust to the medication? I don't remember having anxiety specifically related to the topamax. I definitely was having anxiety prior to the topamax because I was losing so much of my life to migraines. I'm glad it is working for your pain and I hope you are able to find a way around the anxiety side effect so you can keep your pain relief.
