I have an extreme issue. For the past 3 weeks I've had the worst headaches ever! Extreme jaw pain and head pain. I went to the doctor and she gave me 800 mg ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer. That didn't work. I ended up in urgent care and I had my blood drawn a whole blood pannel including sed rate and also a sinus xray. Everything was normal. Two days I went back to urgent care. I had a spinal Xray and a CT scan NO contrast. Everything turned out normal. The radiologist said my ct scan showed thickening in my sinuses so I was given Levaquin antibiotic. The extreme pain is gone and the headache did improve. Now my trapezius muscle is spasm and I have pain up the right shoulder, neck and I feel like my head is spasm out. I also have pain behind my right eye at times. I've had no neurological problems such as weakness, vision problems ect. I still get the pressure at times especially bending my neck down to my chest or if I tip upside down. I think to myself, this is it. I'm dying. My anxiety is high. I have another appt tomorrow morning to have more tests and also to meet with a neurologist. Also, I did injure myself at the gym a couple days prior to the headaches starting. Could this be a nerve issue? Has anyone experienced this??

You are not dying. See a neurologist. Tell your doctor about the injury. It could be nerve, could not be but a neurologist also specializes in headaches and migraines. Also, check out a chiropractor with a medical massage.

3 years ago I was in a car accident.. I was litterly hit by a car (pedesterian and the idiot didnt see me in a cross walk) Anyhow I had this horrid pressure on my arm and numbness, it turned out the muscles were inflammed so much it pressed against my nerves and caused that.

Also, I love having DO's as a PCP. A DO is a primary doctor and a chiropractor in one. Years ago, I had a migraine that was odd. It felt like my head was going to explode and I felt on fire. I mentioned it on a routine appt to my DO and he checked it out. Out of all things... My neck muscles were inflammed and pressing against nerves as well as my neck being out of alignment. And that pain caused a migraine. He ajusted my neck, and most pain went away. The meds took out the migraine.

I have had a migraine for a whole week! grrr!! I went to see a Chiropractor today and he thinks he can help me with these migraines. I don't know if he's just saying that to get my money or if adjusting my neck and doing some ultra sound massage to loosen up my neck muscles might help or what, but I'm willing to give it a try. He wants me to come to therapy for two weeks straight and then maybe twice a week. I'm in so much pain and it's about a 25 minute drive each way to his office, but he is willing to work with me on the payments which most doctors do not. I only have to pay $25.00 for the whole month regardless of how many times I come in to see him. Right now I'm taking a muscle relaxer and toradol, but can only take the toradol 2-3 times a week. I have tried botox, IV DHE, nerve blocks, imitrex, maxalt, relpax, frova, midrin, zomig, topamax, amtripyline, klopin....in another word a lot of meds. Going to ask about maybe trying zonegran which works something like topamax, but with a lot less side effects. I'm worn down from having a migraine for so long. Right now laying in bed with a heat wrap around my neck and sitting here doing some migraine research.

Wishing you all a Bless New Year full of Joy, Love, Happiness, and Good Health!! God Bless!! Mercyme ~
