Hi,
New to this forum. Question: Does anyone else get pre-migraine symptoms of either volatile emotions (really, really happy or really, really angry) and/or cold feet and/or hands? For example, 24 hours prior to a migraine, my feet and hands get cold to the touch, and register a temperature of 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

My emotions also swing to the extreme of happy or the extreme of angry. However, I am not bipolar and have normal emotional range and experience when not right before a migraine.

Finally, during a migraine, my senses become quite acute. Whispers sound like shouts. Dim light looks like glaring brightness. etc.

Thanks!
Laura

Hi there.

I am a newbie myself :-)
I myself also suffer from severe chronic migraines and headaches.
Although I personally am not aware of it, according to those around me i get very angry, happy or depressed around the time i am due a bad migraine. Sometimes after othe actual attack itself i get like it.
I also get the munchies and end up raiding the cuboards for anything to eat.

Now that you have mentioned it there have been times when my temprature is up and down. One second i can be hot flushing and the next i have icy cold nose and toes XD.

I also can relate on the "whispers turn into shouts" and the lights glare. To me, that is one of the worst aspects of my migraines. I find i have to lock myself away in a queit room and dive under the duvet. It makes me feel like a vampire!! I end up living in darkness untill it has gone away.

Have you ever tried taking feverfew? Before my body got used to it. I used to take one tablet in the morning and one in the evening after i ate. i found that in the beginning they helped to ease my head and the "bipolar" emotions i get as well as the cravings. Although they stopped working for me, everyone is differant. ..Maybe that might be worth giving it a go? . You can get feverfew in tablet form or you can get the leaves and make a tea out of it or chew on them.
If you live in the UK you can pick them up in Holland and Barrett for a couple of quid.

Good luck with your migraines :-)
Xx
