So I've been taking feverfew but can detect no actual effect what so ever. I just wondered what other herbal remedies were out there. I've been diagnosed with Chronic Migraine and its very sever at the moment. The neurologist has said that I'm going to be suffering from it for the rest of my life (as I seem to have gotten the recessive genes from both my parents ) and will be taking tablets for the rest of my life so I'd rather be taking something herbal than taking something that was manufactured where possible.
I know that feverfew is the best known out there but it honestly didn't work for me and I tried it for two years in multiple different forms from multiple different sources. What else have people tried, and did it work?

I am with you on trying to stay as "natural" as possible.  Are you on a strict Migraine Diet?  No tannins, sulfites, tyramines, nitrates??  No processed foods?  You have to start with that.   I've had migraine for 60 years.  Some natural solutions: magnesium supplement (Natural Calm from Natural Vitality - recommended from several others), eat many small meals a day to keep serotonin levels up.  I take no meds, although I've tried them.  I've seen too many stories from people about how their problems are escalated with pharmaceuticals.  I found food lists at the website for Valley Neurological Headache & Research Center that I follow.  There is a good site about tannins at www.widowmaker.com.   And, of course, regular daily exercise of at least 25 min.  There is just no easy solution.  It is a systems approach of diligence.

great info. Found the site you mention:

just a google search for headaches and tannins yield loads of results. Will have to explore this further. It's definitely a whole body integrative approach, daily exercise that gets the heart rate up significantly lowers my change of headache
