Feeling so desperate - August 2010 - Feb 2011 felt poorly with 'off balance' feeling as if I was being pulled and pushed. High pitched sound in ears similar to the noise of an old television - pains in head rather than a headache - doc thought it was just depression but I pushed for MRI and a neurologist - scan was clear - neurologist couldn't find a solution. Bloods, urine showed nothing.

Felt somewhat better for about 8 months - now symptoms have returned with vengence and I feel so low and unhappy. In November this year I awoke in the middle of the night with what I can only describe as a 'knocking' noise in my ear (I think - or could be head??!) Since that event I have felt really poorly. Off balance all the time - pushing, pulling syndrome again - 'knocking' in ear or head have ceased but my left ear gives me pain sometimes (not deep in the ear but just inside the lobe itself) but my head pains worse - sometimes a stabbing pain - other times as if somebody is pulling my hair always on the left.

My doc just feels it is depression but I am depressed because I feel ill not the other way around. Pains killers do nothing. I have been to opticians and eye conditions are just as you would expect for a 55year old woman. Tried beta blockers for head but they make me feel worse. I feel my life has ended and I cannot attempt to live normally and enjoy my former joys of gardening and riding my bike.

I had some of the same symtoms and finally researched the web. I remembered in a "believe it or not"
dream to look up foot, hand and ear reflexology. Guess what, I did the point massaging and pressure points all problems have literally disappeared within a week. It worked for me.
Also, drinking apple cider vinegar as recommended absolutely changed my life. I am 68 yrs. old and
had started to go downhill very fast. Just as fast I am going upward and feel like I am 30 yrs. old
Apparently the docs. could not diagnois you.

Thanks eagar to help but still very worried. Indeed because of these everyday head pains and feeling off balance I went to another doctor who despite my MRI scan in 2010 and a neurologist visit were all clear he is going to send me for a Echo-Doppler of the supra-aortic vessels and another visit to a neurologist. I am scared out of my wits but maybe he was just being careful.
