well I have at least 3-4 migraines every month, some lasting 5 days. I am bedridden, slur, and suffer for days on end. I have tried every single treatment known to man and I finally got my insurance to cover it - at 70 dollars a shot. Well you know you dont get just one shot and I am unemplyoable right now with these migraines so its catch 22. I just want to feel normal again-is that too much to ask? Im breaking down tonite and asking my dad for the money but I hate to do that as well.

The first thing I would ask is if you have been evalauted by a neurologist or at least a primary care doc. If you got a shot in the ER, they don't always do the best evaluation. They just treat the emergency at the time. There are less expensive medicines to help you when you have a migraine, if that's what you are experiencing. It's also a good idea to take good care of yourself, drink lots of water, eat well (not junk food, just carbs or foods with a lot of chemical preservatives. Paying for a good evaluation may be worth it!
