Hello

As a newie to healingwell i must say i have found the forums to be invaluable.

Its comforting to find that you are not alone in dealing with the dreaded 'm'.

After years of searching and trying meds and treatments, in the summer of last year i was always coming across the same solution in the form of the migraine cap that seemed to be getting great reviews in papers and magazines and other message boards.  I bought one and its an excellent product, especially if you find your 'm' responds well to coolness and darkness.  It beats hiding under the duvet with a bag of peas on the head, eye mask slipping from your eyes half way down your face.  And best of all not having to take meds.

Not only that you can use it on a day to day basis as its just so comforting.

Now during my research I often find that nothing compares to my migraine cap.  I do try vitamins just so to keep me healthy but otherwise the cap has saved me financially as well as mentally.

I also try rubbing lavender oil on my temples then putting the cap on - the instant relief is amazing.  Even my gp is amazed as he doesn't see me as often.  But my employer does.

Moral to the story is never give up - there is something out there to help for all us sufferers.

Best wishes

bp
