Wow, this is very interesting!! Thanks for all your feedback. I hate to throw an even bigger wrench in this, this same type of attack occurred to me last year 6 months BEFORE being on the Topamax. I've gotten bloodwork done, stress tests, ekgs, cat-scans, you name it. Heart is good, blood sugar is good, you name it. I don't eat "crap in a box" as I call it. I drink 2 cups of coffee a day - black. I eat a Lara bar for breakfast, sometimes a packet of cream of wheat for breakfast with almond milk, I do eat 2-3 pieces of fruit a day. I eat salads throughout the week with my own dressings. I eat carbs, but just a few days a week - sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal - only the good stuff. Today, my dr. is getting me OFF the Topamax. I've had way too many side effects for him to feel comfortable with me on it right now. I feel queasy on it and just darn crappy most of the day. I feel very weird when I'm on it. He doesn't think the Topamax caused the panic attacks and thinks he believes this started last year before I started even taking it. For now I'll be off it. What bother me is why doesn't he know about all the above liver and blood sugar type stuff being said above?? I guess this proves dr.'s do not know everything. I am relived to off this stuff, but sorry it didn't work for me. One last question. How do other people take 100,200, or 300 mg of this stuff? How is that possible??? I was only on 25mg!! Holy cow. I must be sensitive.
