Hi, for the past week I've been having this strange pressure that tends to move to different parts of my head, as if something is tensing up; it rarely lets up, so I've been feeling it all day, every day (except when I go to sleep, strangely enough). Sometimes it's the back of my head, sometimes my temples, it depends.
Let me note that it's not painful; it's just extremely bothersome. I also occasionally feel as if the room is moving a bit. I've never lost my balance or anything, but it's very odd.
I was particularly exhausted last weekend from a business event, so when this started, I initially thought I was just recovering from the strenuous day. But it's been over a week now and I've considered seeing my doctor, though I thought I should make a post about this since I haven't been able to find anything that describes these symptoms together without actual head pains.

I would be glad to hear any suggestions :]

I've had this 24/7 for eight years...  been to the neurologist, got the MRI (clear), tried topamax (no help)... I'm nearly resigned to living it for the rest of my life at this point.  It is very bothersome far too often, but since I don't have pain with it, I suppose I should feel lucky compared to some others with chronic headache-type issues.

Let me know if it goes away, you find the cause, or a treatment.  There's a whole community of us with this "permanent head pressure" problem, it's just since the problem has no diagnosis, no treatment, and no one makes progress with it... there's no reason to post.

Until about a month ago, I had never in my life had a real headache other than needing to eat or something stupid i had done on my part.

about a month ago, I had a headache that gradually came on over a 3 day period. I was throwing up uncontrollably, room spinning, head pounding, hurt to breath, hurt to talk, light hurt, sound hurt, moving hurt, you name it, it HURT. Finally ended up in the er b/c i couldnt get it to subside even with my strong pain meds that I'm prescribed for Lyme. They did a spinal tap testing for meningitis=negative. Sent it off to an outside lab b/c i requested it be tested for Lyme. Anyway, ct scan was clear and there was no explanation so the dr diag me with migraine headaches. Idk. I've read up on it and it doesnt seem to fit b/c the duration and type of pain, place of pain, etc.

It's still sitting there behind my eye like it's waiting to kick my ass again, but maybe I'm just scared b/c of the severity of the last one.

Just curious if anyone has any input or same symptoms with their migraines. I'm new to migraine headaches and the forum. So, I'm happy to learn:)
Dx Lyme 2010, infected since 96, 1st LLMD Dx 2-10, Started on low dose Minocycline 3mo didnt respond, port for a yr for iv rocephin, iv levaquin, iv flagyl, iv vanc, had port problems and was replaced with a picc to continue meds that my body could not handle. currently taking oral levaquin, oral flagyl, anti-fungals, probiotics, olive leaf extract, nutrient injections and pain management meds.

For 50 days now I have had a constant, severe pressure in my head. After er visits, neurologists, beta blockers, muscle relaxers, and who knows I still have few answers. The chiropractor was the only person who has listened and actually acknowledged a problem. Everyone else seems to be down-playing. One dr. even said " There is nothing wrong with you". Really??? A 50 day head pressure just magically appears with no cause. Am I supposed to believe that's voodoo or something? They can't possibly believe there is no cause. While the meds and chiropractor are making me functional, I fear there is a greater cause that noone is willing to search for. There is no history of headaches. No health problems. It seems like there are a lot of us with the same issue.................
