Hi,

Having just had the pleasure of constant headaches for two weeks, involving 2 trips to the ER followed by MRI and CT scans I have been told that I have hemiplegic migraines.

At the moment I am waiting to see a neurologist - which could take weeks where I am due to state funded healthcare.

I think to be honest when these kick in and my right arm and face go numb it is about the scariest thing I have ever experienced. At the moment I seem to be in a cycle of aura, headache, release, aura, headache ..... and no-one seems to be able to tell me how long this cycle will continue for.

I am fairly sure that it is not a common food trigger as I haven't had cheese, chocolate, wine or caffeine for quite some time. I don't smoke or take non prescriptive drugs.

I know that having extensively googled that I am likely to be stuck with this and am seeing my GP this afternoon - but I just want to check that I am not going mad.

Thanks
