This headache started on the 28th november 2011 after me feeling very sick, dizzy and nearly fainting. i havent had any pain free days since.
Nothing really triggers it, but sometimes it can feel like loud noise does, but it will be still very painful when everything is quiet and im on my own.
The pain scale varies, and can be very painful at times having me in tears. since this headache has started i have been very stressed and depressed, iv had 3 panic attacks in the past 2 weeks.
This isnt helping with my school life as im 15 years old and nearly in my last year of high school. i have had to get a mentor at school to help me deal with my stress. Im often feeling down and emotional, like feeling drained. iv also had lower back pain for around 4-5 months. The headache varies in which place on my head it is, it can be front, side, back anywhere on my head. I get very dizzy and faint alot and even feel sick sometimes. i have been treated for a sinus headache about 3 months ago which didnt work so i got transfered to a clinic.
I had an MRI scan last sunday and im back to the clinc on the 18th, they said last time that if my MRI scan is clear which they think it is, then they might book me in for a lumber puncture.
i was just wondering if anyone was going through the same thing and could maybe give me some advise on how to help it? i have been on many courses of tablets, none of them work, even very high dosages. i often feel very very tired and it tends to get worse throughout the day. it is very sore to touch and often feels like someone is squeezing my head.
please help x

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry to hear about what you are going through. Hang in there it sounds like the Docs are on to it, however, can I ask is the Neurologist you are seeing a Headache Specialist?? General Neurologists don't know enough about headache to differentiate the more challenging headaches as they deal mostly with epilieptics and other brain disorders. Headache is only a small part of what they do.

Please speak to your parents and ask if they can help you find a Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist who will stop at nothing until they get to the bottom of what is happening to you!!! You won't regret it!!! Let me know how you get on.

Take care
