Hey, Guys! i'm starting to get really concerned about my situation. I'll give u a few details about myself before I go on. I'm 23 male aprox. 177cm and weigh 81kg (a lil chubby).

Well, my headaches started last thursday after a long day at school (yes, that day was quite stressful). This headache only affects the right side of my head where the temple is, everywhere else seems to be fine. And during the day even tho it's not intense, I can always feel it lingering.. Sometimes I think it's almost gone, so I go on about my day, until I return home, have a hot shower and rest, is when it creeps back.

If i'm at an internet shop playing games, it doesn't bother me, but when I return home is when the pain returns.

The worst pain is at night when I try & sleep. I woke up 3x last night  from a sharp, stabbing, throbbing pain on the right side of my head next to my temple. I had to get out of bed because the pain is too unbearable to ignore ! I even tried having a hot shower. Although, that doesn't seem to help much. This headache gets worse when I lay down. If I lay there trying to fight it off, it doesn't get better! Only when I get up, and pace around is when I feel SOME enlightenment. I even cancelled work today, because the lack of sleep I had last night from these ANNOYING headaches.....
I'm pretty sure I had an episode like this two years ago, but I don't remember it being this intense....

PLEASE HELP ME!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???

I have no other symptoms like.. sensitive to light, food alergies,  drowsyness, watery eyes, speech impairment, loss of balance and so forth...

Sorry I don't have time for a full post here but you need to see a doctor. That's the best advice anyone can give you.

Hope you feel better soon,

Ben

these are the meds my doctor prescribed me : AVAMIGRAM. IBUPROFEN 400mg. ORKELAX. AMITRIPTYLINE 10mg.. Take one each after every meal

they seem to be working so far... Although, last night I still woke up from my bad headaches, but not as hardcore as the previous nights before that.

Many medicatioms take time to produce their full effect. In your case, Amitriptyline in particular will be more helpful after a few weeks.

I hope that the medications continue to help and that, if they don't, you'll stay in touch with your doctor. Also, one of the most overlooked factors in reducing headaches is stress. Do your best to live a healthy lifestyle, especially with your sleep, as you mentioned that was a problem.

Best wishes,

Ben

Here I am again woken up by my headache! And it's always on the right side of my temple. I've just taken a hot shower to ease off the pain a little. YES! you're totally right. I have to catch up on sleep. Having said that, it's only my 3rd day taking these prescribed meds... i'll let you know my progress within a few days!..

P.S. reading ur post was reassuring.. cheers :)
