Hello -- my doctor has prescribed 90 mg of Cymbalta because she said that it has helped other patients with migraines. I have been taking for a couple of weeks and having been experiencing a terrible migraine. I have taken my Imitrex injections for the last 7 days for migraine. My doctor said Cymbalta would help my migraine, but I wonder if it is making it worse. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks so much!

I take cymbalta for fibromyalgia and bipolar disorder. It never helped my migraines. I'm also on 90mg a day. If you stop it...go slowly there's a withdrawal factor. There are some antidepressants that can prevent them, and heart meds called beta blockers, but if your blood pressure is low or right on target they probably won't prescribe a beta blocker. Hope this helps. Oh and the cymbalta isn't doing a darn thing for my fibromyalgia either....only stay on it because I need an antidepressant. Best wishes--K
