For about 18months now iv had a head 24/7. It is basically a tension type headache but there is a migraine that I get 1-3 times a month. Iv had numerous scans and I go to chyro, massage etc but my GP basically has no idea what to do with me. I guess Im worried about being referred to a Neurologist because iv heard stories of simply being pumped full of different drugs and rarely is there a good outcome. It seems all I read on the net is doom and gloom with not much hope and im now at the point where I am getting really depressed and it is hard top stay happy for my little girl and wife when I feel so low and cannot see light at the end of the tunnel. Here in Australia there just does not seem to be much help at all unless im looking in all the wrong places but when my GP has no idea what to suggest it leaves me a little more depressed each time. I just get told to keep up with pain killers and see how it goes. I read that it could be contributing so for the last week iv had no over the counter pain killers which has made a couple of migraines hard to get through and today is one of them days.

Just wondering if there are many good outcomes of is it something they really have no idea (or very little) in the way of treating?

Cheers
Jase
