Hey everyone,
I am new to this. I need some advice... Here is what is going on. I have been having migraines since I was a ****. ten or eleven... I am 22 years old. I have noticed them getting worse for the past year or so. My doctor has me on muscle relaxers (flexeril 10mg), Inderall, fioricet, an anti depresant called celexa(40mg) (generic brand) and also loritab(5 even though it takes usually two so 10mg) for when I get a full blown migraine.
The doctor says that my migraines are due to high stress levels and muscle tension. I am a full time college student, I work a full time job as a manager at a credit union and I have several issues with my immediate family. I agree that I am under a high stress level, but the meds dont seem to be helping. We have swithced them around several times and nothing seems to work. I am getting the migraines every day and they are affecting my daily life to the point of me wanting to stay in bed. I hate going to work because it seems like as soon as I walk in the door I get a headache. I am currently looking for a new job because I believe that that is most of my problem. I am an A and B student so school isnt an issue. Is there anything that anyone has in advice for me? I cant seem to relax enough to get these migraines to go away. I have had an MRI and all was well. My doc also wants to send me to a neurologist...?? Is this just a money scheme?? I am lost for words!!! sad  my boyfriend rubs my shoulders very often for the muscle tension... I feel terrible because he has to do it most every day.... I have also tried hot tea (chamomille and vanila), muscle rub, exc.. exc... the list goes on and on...  HELP! Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!!!
