I have had migraines since I was 18. I am now 49 years old and I had my thyroid removed 2 years ago. Ever since I had my thyroid removed my migraines have increased and I have headaches every day. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there experiencing the same thing. I am taking 200 mg Topamax but I am still having migraines and daily headaches and I have tried all of the other preventives.

I have constant head pressure as well. I'm still not sure what the cause is, however I have found apple cider vinegar to be an absolute miracle and relieves so much of the pressure that I do not need aspirin every day. I have also found oil of oregano to be greatly helpful as well. Just want to share with everyone I possibly can who also has head pressure and headaches. 2 tablespoons in juice and 2-3 drops of oil of oregano. I find the liquids to be more effective than the pill forms.

When you had your thyroid removed did they put you on hormones or hormone replacement therapy? It could be your hormone balance is off. Hormones can cause migraines. Your doctor can check your hormone balance and hopefully an alter in medications could solve both issues.
My dad has thyroid cancer which has resulted in having thyroid removal surgery. He has to be on hormones now or he has constant headaches. That's my basis for my suggestion. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you I think I will give the apple cider vinegar and oil of oregano a try.
and yes I am on thyroid replacement. I get my blood work down every 3 months to have my levels checked.
I just had my blood work dne last week and I am waiting to hear back from my doctor.
It seems we are always having to adjust it. I was too high for awhile, now I feel too low. I don't understand why we can't find the right dose and just stay there.
