i was in an accident in 1982 . an hour or so after i had a severe pain go up my back . went to hospital and was so sore i could hardly get on x-ray table . had therapy finally tried chropractor for back . later i started with sever headaches that seemed to be in the back of my head , follow with finger up the spine to the skull . it was up in that area where the pain was . i saw a specialist and in the early 80's this was he gave me a wide band padded with loops on each end and said to put under chin attach a cord and use a certain amount of weight on other end tied and through over door and sit in a chair and let it stretch your neck . the description of band design may not be correct so long ago but it fit well and stretching did help . to long ago to remeber how often . posture is also very important but i also had very bad back pain . i found that back then using aspirin helped with the pain if you took it soon enough and then watch how you position head and move . i tried tylenol but doctor said aspirin . it was very painful and with all problems you have to learn to move diffferently . it did eventually get better but i found that after this , was young then if i had drinks . beer , wine and other and got tipsy , my headache , hangover was right  in that spot mostly in the back of my head . i couldn't stand waking up with the pain in the back of my head and realized i would have to not drink or just have a small amount . you have to manage it if you know what is bringing it on if you can . some i read sounds more differant than what brought mine on .
