Hello to all of you,

I am writing this note this morning because my candle is almost totally burned...

Yesterday, I cried a lot and today, I don't feel better.  I have difficulties to concentrate at work and I still want to cry.

I saw a neurologist and since I had this meeting, I began different treatments:

-Elavil;

-anti-inflammatory;

-infiltration of cortizone.

Add to all these stuff my habitual Triptan.

I am tired, exhausted and I still have at least one big migraine by day.

I am sorry to complaining like this today, but I need any kind of encouragement.

Please, help me...  I really need your good words.

Isabelle

I'm sorry sorry sorry, Isabelle. I know it feels hopeless sometimes. I don't think I've posted on here before. I'm active on the Ulcerative Colitis message board & thought I would take a look here since it's a sort of slower Friday for me at work. Or at least I'm making it slower.
I have periodic migraines, but not daily. Mine are usually the kind that wipe me out for a day & slow me down on the next day, and it will happen two or three times within a couple of weeks. Then it's usually at least two months before I get another one. I can't imagine having one every day.
I started working with a neurologist after I had surgery for a brain aneurysm. I had already gotten some therapeutic myofascial massages on my own, & the neurologist sent me to physical therapy for myofascial pain. She thinks that myofascial muscle contractions in the neck and shoulders are what cause many migraines. At that time I was having a lot of migraine aura without pain, along with the periodic headaches. Stretching excercises and massage make a big difference for me.
Since there's a limit to what insurance will pay for, and the massage is very expensive, I found a massage school where I can get some pretty darn good massages at about half price.
Be good to yourself.

There is nothing that I could say that would make you feel any better, I know because I feel I am in the same boat as you. I get daily migraines and headaches. You feel that there is no end to a horrid road of pain. I ask questions like, Why do I get these because I am a good person that never does wrong by others? Why do we have to put up with this daily nightmare?
Even though there are no ideas I can give you, you have probably tried everything, who wouldn't when they get something this horrible, but I think it can sometimes help to here that there are other people out there that are going through the same thing and can understand. Although people around me love me, they do not understand really because they haven't been there. We all know what it is like and it is nice to know that there is a place like this where we can get support.
Sorry if I haven't helped, but know that my best wishes are with you.

Tracey :-)

Hello and thanks for your inestimate support.

I feel much better now.  That's mean it can be better for you either.

My treatment begin to make a positive effect on me and, if I still have frequent migraine, the pain is less hard.  So my life is coming back!

I just want to say thank you again to both of you.

Please, don't lose hope (as I did myself last week...)

yeah

Isabelle
