I have suffered from cluster migraine and simple migraine as well as sinus headaches for about 17 years.  I even remember having headaches as an 8-10 child.

I am new to this forum and am doing some personal research for which I'd like some feedback.

Simply, what are the challenges/problems migraine sufferers face?  Is it finding the right medication, finding good sources of information?  getting support?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Y-

My challenges are finding a compassionate doctor, the right combination of medications, trying to work and carry on with regular activities and not lose too much time at work-or my job overall, having supportive, truly understand people around and of course trying not to dread the next big attack!

Feel free to share with us what your biggest challenges are.

I find that the challenges I face are all the above that yourself and Sara have said. I have not found one med that works for my daily headaches and migraines so finding the right med for me is a huge on but also support. I don't get as much support as I need and that can be very hard. My neurologist is extremely supportive but my GP is a bit of a tosser. I wish he was more understanding because he is the Dr that I see when I am in great pain and need an injection. People don't really understand unless they have been where we are and they have experienced the pain that we experience. Dealing with two toddlers is a very hard task when I have a migraine also. Almost impossible.

Hope you get the info you are after.

:-)
