Hi Everyone! I just stumbled across this question and thought perhaps I might help if I can?
When you'd like to start a new topic...click on the "New Topic" button - there is a space at the top to type in your topic title which should indicate a topic from the forum that you are in.
When you'd like to post like I am doing do with all the buttons and whistles (smileys 
), hit "post new reply".
When you'd like to answer quickly just start writing in the "blank space" provided at the the end of a topic thread!

PS Check to the right of the page under "Community" and it says, "Forum Help"? Click on that and it does help to explain a lot!! :)
