Hi my daughter is 18 years old has had a headache for a week now, last Tuesday it got so bad I drove her to hospital on the way there she blacked out in the car I couldn't wake her I thought she had died, she was out for about 40 minutes, all the tests were 100% nothing was wrong she felt fine. Wed we went to doc as she felt unwell he was concerned as she was slow on her response's and her left side was weak, he wanted an MRI scan so we had an appointment at the hospital on Thursday at 10 am. At 3.30am Thursday my daughter has a fit for about 20 mins ambulance was called daughter didn't want to go in as she was going in that day for a scan. The MRI was clear doc said it was migraine daughter felt unwell all day Thursday,. On Friday afternoon another fit for about 35 minutes longer to come round from this one oxygen was given and she went into hospital as paramedics were worried. In hospital they said they would do a lumbar puncture on sat morning to rule out things, my daughter fitted about 9 pm that night doctor said its not a fit a spasm instead nothing wrong with her but will keep her in over night no lumbar puncture needed. She was put on a ward in the corner and no nurses could see her she had another fit at 3.30 in the morning another patient rang her buzzer no nurse came for about half hour so by the time she came round they had missed the fit. At 6.15 am she had another one a nurse saw this one but wasn't concerned. She was released from hospital to go back to doctor. On Saturday evening she had a severe fit and was fitting for 20 minutes, paramedics were called but she stayed home as we can watch her. Sunday afternoon another fit so this NUMBER 7 since THURSDAY. All obs are fine and 100% normal she is bright and alert every time afterwards.
ANY IDEAS

Eliminate aspartame/phenylalanine from her diet and see if symptoms improve. Google aspartame and the 6000+ foods/drinks it's now in. This chemical that is loosely labeled as a safe artificial sweetener is in gum, breath mints, light or diet drinks and drink mixes (Crystal Light for one), light yogurt (Yoplait for one), candy, cookies, you need to read each and every single label if you want this very harmful chemical out of the body. 5 hour energy drinks and the like, are other examples. Here are the words to look for:

aspartame
phenylalanine
acesulfame-K
Nutra Sweet
aspartic acid
sunette
methanol
asparate

When this chemical is ingested, it can turn into a form of formaldehyde, since it's the very chemical, along with others, that is used to create formaldehyde (what they embalm dead people with).

Sorbitol isn't any better for us, although it doesn't seem to have the 92 symptoms or side effects that aspartame can induce.

Just google it and you'll be shocked at all the various health ailments and very serious ones (brain tumors, seizures) aspartame is linked to. And yet the FDA won't ban it, they are ignoring requests to ban it from health officials.
- Rectal CA 4/29/99, Stage I, 90% sigmoid/15" of colon/GB removed, temporary colostomy, reversed 6-26-99, Cochlear Meniere's Disease
- Chronic IBS/D symptoms, multiple bm's, on low residue diet
- Cholestyramine 1 T daily
- Eliminated aspartame, caffeine and alcohol from diet.
