Hey all, I am a 20 year old male, and I need some help.

For the past two and a half months, I have been having some very strange symptoms. It all began two and a half months ago whenever I started lifting heavy weights and taking a supplement called ELK ANTLER VELVET extra strength 500 mg per capsule. I took four a day(2000 mg) for around two weeks. I work outside in the summer, and it was a very hot day and I was not wearing shades and I haven't eaten or drank anything. I started working at 8 A.M., and around 2 P.M. I started getting very dizzy. Everything seemed to slow down with my eye movement. I started having heart palpitations and rapid heartbeat along with panic attacks. However, I didn't lose consciousness or have a seizure or anything like that. I believe that I might have had heat exhaustion. Every since that day, my head feels like it weighs 500 pounds. I have random spurs of dizziness and my vision seems a little blurry(I have worn contacts since I was 12 years old though). I have strange pressure all in my face and head, and I have random throbs all over my head along with migraines sometimes. Of course, this experience is causing me to have heavy anxiety. I must note that before I suffered heat exhaustion, these symptoms were present, but were very mild. It wasn't until that day where I got very hot outside that everything intensified. I have been to my doctor, and he isn't taking me seriously. He submitted a CT scan for my constant headache and sometimes migraine, but my insurance company declined it as "medically unnecessary." It seems that nobody wants to help me. Based on all the different things that I have done over the past 3 months that may have caused this, I do not know where to turn. I have been worried that I have a brain tumor, pineal cyst, internal bleeding in my head, etc. I need some help and answers. I'm sick of this new life and its affecting my college career as a future chiropractor, its affecting my work days, and its affecting my mood.

I feel for you my friend.

I'm going through my own sturggles but getting my CT scan hasn't really helped me in any way, I'm still obsessed I havea tumor or something since my 5 week headache out of nowhere continues all day long.

Been to doctors about 8 or 9 times in that time and been treated for sinus ect to no avail. I'm hoping for an MRI or something soon but if they wont send me I'll need to pay the £360 to get it myself!
Mine all started with blurry vision and a brief dizzy spell.

Do yourself a favor, eliminate changes in behavior that could lead up to that conclusion. Your body may have liked the supplement at first, but now has a tolerance for it and knows its foreign, and doesn't want it. Flush out your system, get the "all might colin cleanse" off amazon, follow its directions to a "t" you'll feel better. When you do stick to carbs n protein for building muscle, working out and stamina gains. Best of luck, but stop the supplement a.s.a.p. flush you system for sure it may have done some serious damage to your body, you need to heal for a while. Quit tripping, you don't have a brain tumor, vision issues brought on by a animal based supplement, just relax and cleanse you body.. yeah yeah yeah

I appreciate the feedback...I truly feel better about it. Im going to follow the directions on the cleanser amd hope for the best...and Safety6, is it possible to still be having these effects from this supplement 2 months later? The day I got overheated in the sun was the same day I stopped taking the supplement. 2 months ago..

Personally, I recommend getting a MRI done.
A couple of months ago, I just woke up one day and started feeling dizzy and 'off'. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a sinus infection and put on an antibiotic.
I experienced more strange symptoms over the weeks like extreme fatigue, neck pains, headaches, a feeling of pressure around my head, and the initial dizziness.
So, after battling with myself wondering if I was being a hypochondriac, I finally went back to my doctor and he told me that since the symptoms have persisted he recommended an MRI.
I did the MRI and a pineal cyst was found.
I spent weeks in health anxiety and reached a very low pit of depression.
But, I've also spent a lot of time researching and I'm certain that this cyst is causing my symptoms.

It all seems very surreal because I've always been a very healthy person (I don't even have insurance, unfortunately, because I never had to use doctors in the past). I've always been really into nutrition, I exercise daily, I hike all of the time, I stay away from refined sugars and flours, et cetera. I never caught colds or viruses.....so, I put off getting the MRI for a long time because I thought "Oh I can't have any REAL health problem".

But, now I've grown to accept what is going on and as for now I've decided to journal my symptoms day by day, follow up with a neurologist, and go from there. The problem is that pineal cysts are very misunderstood and very UNDERexaggerated.

I am fortunate to have a close friend who is studying to be a neurosurgeon and he is certain that all o fmy symptoms come from this cyst.

Another friend I've made through all of this is having hers removed endoscopically by Dr. Shahinian in LA on Dec. 26 (2013) so just a couple of weeks away!!

I've accepted that it might come to that, but for now I just go day by day and monitor my symptoms and try to learn some grace and strength through all of it :] What can ya do? :]

Anyways, I've rambled, but my point is --- please get a CT Scan or MRI done to check for the pineal cyst. It really is not the end of the world if you have one. But atleast you will *know* and be able to move forward with a clear direction.

If you have any questions, feel free :]

Take care x
