I started getting migraines when I was about 11 years old (I am 42 now) and like a lot of people here I tried a lot of different things; all tests done could not explain why am I getting them
about 15 years ago I discovered Amerge and I thought I can finally manage my migraines and function more normal; when I get the migraines the pain is intolerable, nausea, dizziness, can't sleep, eat or do anything (I feel like smashing my head on the wall to try stopping the pain)
when taking Amerge I used to get relief within 4 hours and sometimes needed to take up to 4 a week but I would be ok for a week or 2, usually went through 6 pills a month
in the last year my migraines are coming back more often, I am on day 31 of a continuous migraine and a Amerge pill # 23 and still the migraine is coming back within 8 hours
I feel weak and not sleeping because of the pain has drained my energy
If anyone has any ideas please let me know because I should not be taking anymore Amerge for a while
I am considering Minimally Invasive Arterial Surgery (The Shevel Procedure)
Any thoughts?
