Usually, my migraines are at least three months or so apart. I get fuzzy spots in my vision about an hour before the headache starts. On Saturday, though, I got the aura without getting a migraine and earlier today it happened again. These are the only odd episodes I've ever had, but I've only been getting the migraines for about three years. Is it something to be worried about?

These are called ocular migraines. I have had them. I will get the zigzag "lightening" in my eyes but absolutely no headache. My doctor has me lie down with a cold washcloth over my eyes and they do go away in about a half an hour for me. My doctor said they weren't anything to worry about. I had my first one about 20 years ago and my vision is fine.

Here is a link about these from the Mayo Clinic.

I have the same thing with migraines and the Eye doc said it was called an ocular migraine. She said when women get older their migraines change. And the aura and nausea would come but there is not a headache along with it all. So that is one good thing about getting older.....
