So I am sort of new to all of this.  I used to get migraines but never like this.  The last 2 weeks has been a constant headache 24/7.  My balance is way off all the time and constantly dropping things.  I don't carry a purse but I had to attach my wristlet to my belt bc I had dropped it at least 5 time in 2 hrs.  At times it turns into a migraine so I am avoiding all the triggers I know of.

I got to the point where I couldn't take it and went to the drs.  I try my hardest to avoid drs but I can't stay locked away in my bedroom in the darkness and silence.  I go to visit my fiancée and he has a hard time with silence or quiet times.  The dr put me on imitrex.  The headaches are all over all day but right before it turns into a migraine I get what I call floaters in my eyes and aura's.  The migraines normally stick to my left side but not always.  Sometimes its my right and sometimes its all over but worse on one side.  I took the imitrex thinking it will take away all of it not just the migraine but I was wrong the headache is still there. Its a constant dull throbbing.  My dr wants me to see a neuro dr hopefully they can figure it out.  The  Excedrin and Advil migraine meds aren't helping they make it a lil better but it never fully goes away.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this and have any helpful hints till I see the dr?

Have you ever tried Excedrin? It seems to have always been the only thing that works for me. Have you had any MRIS or CT scans? My DR wont give me headache meds he says its from tension and stress. There's been times I've had migraines for a month or two, I've had my current headache for about three weeks now taking a ton of meds .. its not fun when the heartburn and indigestion occurs but what else can you do!? Yes maybe try a neurologist also, they can help with certain things related to headaches. They'll do an evaluation and go from there with what they think you'll benefit best from, Good luck!!! (I just seen you said Excedrin provides relief but it never fully goes away, that's the same with me, have you tried the extra strength, the migraine, and the tension headache relief? one may work better than the other!!)

Thanks for responding Laceymyaalahay.

My GP said that the neurologist will order those. She wants me to get in as soon as I can which isn't until dec 31. I was surprised they are even open that day. She did order blood work that I am getting done on Monday. I am hoping to move up the appointment. I don't even want to get out of bed. I have been trying to be nice but that is hard when people don't know how to be quiet. I feel bad for my fiancée. His hearing is bad from being in the army so he has the tv and music blaring. I know I have not been nice and I get frustrated quickly.I am hoping if I buy earplugs that will work too. The music or tv doesn't really have to be loud for it to get to me.

I will have to try the extra strength during the day. I didn't see it today when I went to get more advil. I will have to go to a different store. Does it say Excedrin extra strength Migraine or just regular extra strength? I really wish the Excedrin didn't have caffeine in it. It works better than the advil migraine.

I hope you start to feel better too Laceymyaalayah, Thanks again.
