Hello all, I have been suffering from constant migraine headaches, Dizziness, and nausea for over 2 months now. And quite frankly I'm sick of it, I have been to my GP to a total of 5 times since they started and I have been put on many different medications, and still don't know what is causing them, or how to stop them. I have had blood tests (showed up all clear) and recently had an MRI, which showed a small fatty dermoid in the quadrigeminal plate, although we don't know if this is causing the headaches, this is one of two options that we have narrowed it down to, and the other is hormones.

If anyone knows of anything that may help or who is experiencing the same thing please post a comment, and I just want to be a normal teenager again, and live a normal life has this has really put a barrier on everyday things that all my friends can do but I can't. :(

Are you drinking diet sodas? Reason I ask is the chemical in these drinks loosely labeled as an artificial sweetener is actually a toxin, named aspartame. It goes by phenylalanine as well. This chemical induces 92 side effects and one is headaches/migraines. Aspartame is in 6000 food and drink items now. Make sure it's not in your diet, if it is, detox your system from it - it's a neurotoxin.
- Rectal CA 4/29/99, Stage I, 90% sigmoid/15" of colon/GB removed, temporary colostomy, reversed 6-26-99, Cochlear Meniere's Disease
- Chronic IBS/D symptoms, multiple bm's, on low residue diet
- Eliminated aspartame, caffeine and alcohol from diet
- Cholestyramine 1 T. daily

I barely ever drink any soda's as I know that they are a trigger for my migraines. But thank you for the heads up, I'm thinking of trying a detox to see if it helps help/stop the migraines.

Aspartame is in 5 hour energy shots, Yoplait light yogurt, 90% of gum and mints (Dentynne, Trident, Breath Savers), some candy, some ice cream, check labels for fat free or low fat foods (also sugar free food items). It's in Crystal Light and seemingly healthy flavored bottled water (also the small bottles of flavoring you add to plain bottled water). In other words, check all labels. You need to be careful of some detox products, you can quickly become dehydrated or feel very ill from them. Renew Life products are reliable, I have used their probiotics and they are safe. I believe Renew Life makes a detox, you can search their website. Good luck to you. I do hope you find relief and can get back to being a normal teenager (I'm a mom so I related to your comment about wanting to be normal again).

I am in day 7 of a continuous migraine. I've been to the ER, my "doctor" and his crew just took the whole week of Christmas off and left NO ONE on call, and I cannot get relief. My migraines are triggered by cold fronts and high barometric pressure, and that is what is going on for me. I can't change the weather, and I can't get any medical relief. It makes me so depressed I feel like just doing away with myself just to stop this . It's been a problem for years and years now. Nothing helps, and I am dying. Smells also trigger these horrible things - cough drops, eucalyptus, diesel, wood smoke, perfume, washing powder, dryer sheets, soap, lotion, etc. Where can ya go and what can ya do to get any kind of relief? They won't give you pain pills worth a darn any more.
