Hi, I'm new here. Looking and reading chats about migraines. I've suffered and suffered. The AD drugs all made my migraines chronic so I stopped taking any. I was on those trial and error for about a year, with worsening condition. Once I stopped the drugs the chronicness went away. I then decided to see what was in my diet that could be contributing to migraine triggers. Found MSG, All imitation sugars(sucralos, aspartame), nitrates in meats alcohol, wines and soy to be major triggers. I also found the weather, low pressure days to trigger migraines. It's been a long haul on food elimination to find all this out. There are days that I just can't pin point why.
I have had chronic cervical neck issues previous to the onset of suffering migraines. My neck pops and locks up, I have radiating pain and numbness down both my arms, carpal tunnel, painful swollen elbow, and arthritis due to the cervical problems. Sometimes I think that may be the cause of my migraines as well. Thinking vascular could be part of the problem.
Still I'm searching for a reason and answer as to why migraines started in my life after menopause. I am 56 years old, I have osteo and am experiencing some weird vitamin deficiencies. Currently I have a new internist working on helping me(just started working on this route). Thinking the food allergies (msg, additives) could be causing my deficiencies and/or can be the reason for my migraines. So far I haven't found a doctor that can pinpoint reasons.
Tired of suffering, tired of feeling sick, tired of being sick and tired, and I'm tired of doctors incompetence in finding a cure for migraines. cry
Thanks for listening!!!
