I have been down with migraines for close to 11 years now. I just recently went to a neurologist who presscribed Losartan potassium for a preventative treatment. I take 25mg daily. Anyone else have experience with this drug for migraine treatment? I have been taking it for 4 weeks. I experience some chest tightness with it and have had to stop drinking coffee, even de-caff, due to the rapid heart beat I feel. I know it is a blood pressure medication just wondering if these side effects Im experiencing are normal and if they will decrease as I stay on med longer.

Thanks. Cutting out aspartame has helped my headaches A TON. I also had a occipital nerve block that helped tremendously.

Jharmo, Welcome to the forum

I take Propananol another BP med for migraine pain, along with other meds. The chest tightness went away for me with in 6 weeks. I still get it back sometimes when pain hits. I breath through it. I realized it was a panic attack.

breath in slow 1 2 3 out slow 1 2 3 4 if you dont fee better and you get pain in the chest call 911.

along with cutting out aspartame which is great, cut out all red and yellow food dies. Check ALL food packages. You will be amaze where they will put that stuff.

Increase your water intake. so your urine is clear.

Peace
