Hi.

I have been on this forum recently, telling everyone about how well my migraine meds & botox are working. Although I do stand by that, I am now experiencing some really bad headaches for a while (week or so). Really bad. I am under a ton of stress right now. I have quite a few significant health issues going on, friend who is very sick right now, problems w/ my apartment, and my dad is in the hospital--major spine surgery Monday, tonight an "urgent" surgery to fix a spinal fluid leak.

So, I assume stress is behind these headaches. They feel different from migraines. The pain is over my entire head, generally worst in the lower back portion of my skull. And some tension in my neck. Feels like someone is squeezing my head really hard. Hurts when I move quickly, feels best to just lie down.

Wondering what the best way to treat this kind of headache is?? Heat? Ice? Massage? Rest? Meds? I have been taking tylenol. Does nothing. I am already on pain med--Tramadol for back issues. Cannot take NSAIDS due to an interaction with other meds I take.

Any suggestions/thoughts you have are welcome!

Thanks for listening.

Sunny.

Just an update in case anyone is actually listening....

Dad's surgery went well last night. Today he is doing better, but not too great yet.

Headache is still with me. Really bad.

Would really appreciate any feedback!!!!

Ice is the only thing that works for me, and add Ativan if I am stressed. It helps a lot. Glad your dad's surgery went well!
