So I have had migraines for about 10-15 yrs however in the last 5-6 yrs they have gotten much worse. I have tried numerous meds and Botox, which worked but insurance said NO. Go figure. Anyways I have been getting Occipital nerve blocks and they have helped some. My problem now is confusion. I will get confused and unable to focus when I have the migraines, but now the confusion seems to be more often and when I don't have the migraine. Anyone else have this? It is very trying and the vertigo is getting pretty old too. This makes it very difficult to function. I am having a hard time at work too. Had MRI, EEG. Both were fine. When I get my migraines now I take Cambia and it helps but not the confusion or vertigo. Any helpful in site would be appreciated.

Have you tried a second neurologist at a major hospital? does the doc want to know where the pain starts and where it travels to?

These can be important questions.

also have you been to and ENT to have the vertigo checked out and confirmed to be part of the migraine?

I take Imitrex for the migraine pain. Vertigo is not a issue, I get tired and have body aches, very little confusion.

Hope some of this helps.

Yes been to ENT. this is2nd neuro. They are very thorough. I am now on mag oxide and vit B it is helping a bit. Had EEG and it was negative. I have the Cambia and a sot I can do when it gets bad. It's just so taxing on me. I can never plan anything cause I never know when I'm gonna get a migraine. Oh they are Occipital migraines too. What a drag..
