I am 80years in Sept 2014, live alone but not lonely. I had a stroke Sept 2013 (TIA Dec 2005 not investigated) which was a bleed in LHS of my brain an the effects clear up in month :-) The main problem is a some searching for words; when I get practise in conversation it's good.

Since the event I am suffering visual disturbance, the classic migraine beginnings but with as short duration of 20 minutes if I sit and rest with closed eyes. I am taking pizotifen 500mcg at night, I doubt it works but it is a comfort. I stopped half an aspirin at the event which had been taken since Dec 2005.

Have you any observations, on the aura and how to stop?

Welcome to the forum.

I can not say how to stop the aura. I have multi colored light auras almost every morning as soon as I wake up. They dissapate with in 30 minute 9 out of 10 days.

I am 53 with no stroke history. Go figure.

My neuro thinks it is part of my nerve damage that is attribitable to my trigeminal neuroalgia.

I hope you find an answer.
