I have been diagnosed with chronic migraine. I have suffered with it for over 4 years: I am currently 28 . I have, what feels like a million, triggers from the usual food, alcohol and stress. I occasionally suffer with aura.

One trigger which I am really struggling is blood sugar levels. Any drop in blood sugars and I have a migraine which makes me feel really sick until I have a pig out and raise my blood sugars. 3 years ago I managed to lose weight but constantly had migraine and popped aspirin until I nearly got a stomach ulcer.

Now I want to lose weight again but this time without pain. I feel I eat loads of food, 3 meals a day with tones of snacks (sometimes I eat every 2 hours!! ) but as soon as I get a calorie deficit I get migraine and have to binge to make myself feel better. I also love exercise but this can also contribute to low blood sugar despite eating an hour before exercise and drinking juice before during and after my workout. I have also decreased my intensity.

I am currently on beta blocker which are helping but have not solved this issue. Feeling so stuck with it all.

Has anyone had a similar experience and mastered it? Any advise would be appreciated.

I am also so worried about my teeth with how often I eat!!

Welcome to the forum.

From your post, I have the impression you are not a planned diet
for migraine suffers.

Below is a link to help you get on a course of whole foods, healthy foods with out additives that can cause the pain. there are articles that will walk you through how to plan small meals through out the day to control the blood sugar, healthy snacks and drinks.

You have to view this as a life change for the better, it will make you feel like a new person and give you your life back to some degree. People all respond differently. The harder you try the better results.

Thank you so much for your response .
I have done bits of research and eliminated lots of foods myself such as dairy , gluten , msg to be a few examples. Since takin my beta blockers I have found I have fewer attacks when I have these types of food for treats .but my glucose levels when I am trying to lose weight are very frustrating. So far I have calorie counted what I have eaten today , all healthy wholegrain foods , I have eaten around 1800 calories and I am still feeling hungry and with a migraine . I have been hungry every 2 hours today 😕
I have been waiting to find a resource such as a book etc which had been recommended so thankeep u so much for this .
