Most likely you may be grinding your teeth at night if you have a lot of stress or worry that your are not dealing with in a healthy way.
It may be trigeminal neuralgia, although this is usually on the right side and includes lighting bolt pains on top of the head and face pain.
If you are reluctant to go to the GP, which I suggest a neurologist if you go to a doc. The talk to a pharmacist and get a mouth guard for nighttime and see if it helps.
