Following some research I was doing on the net I bought some Osteocare Calcium and Magnesium tablets from Tesco's and where I used to suffer with a migraine nearly everyday I now only get one a fortnight.

I wanted to share this with you as it really has worked for me.  Let me know how you get on!

Hello,

I am taking Calcium / Magnesium and have found it works as well but only slightly. How much are you taking a day?

Thanks!

Nicky

Hey Nicky, glad they're working for ya! Funny you should ask that; I found that they were only "slightly" working too so upped it to 2 tablets a day, which is now 300mg mag and 800mg calcium and find they are working much better now.

If I get stressed out I can feel the back of my neck starting to stiffen up which usually results in a major hummdinger but on the whole I'm much better than I was.

Also, watch out for ASPARTIME in drinks and jams. Recently discovered this was a big cause of my migraines and am reading the small print on everything now.

Other things that affect me are banana's, pineapple, chocolate, chicken....

Best of luck with the tablets,

Mark

BTW Nicky, I see you're from BC..we've just come back from a 3 week holiday out there!  Excellent trip!

Hi, my name is Deb,

I have also been taking calcium/magnesium (800 calcium 400 magnesium) for about a month now as I have been having bad migraines. I am convinced it is due to hormone problems (perimenopause), as I have lots of other symptoms. I am starting to see a slight difference, but the lady in the herbalist shop said it may take a few months before they work. She also suggested that it may help to lower other symptoms associated with perimenopause such as back pain, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, muscle cramps and insomnia. It is early days yet, but I really hope it does help. I will keep in touch and let you know if it does.

Hi Mark,

I'm taking 6 tablets of 350/175 Calcium / Magnesium. It may not be working fully because I'm suffering from rebound headaches right now.

Yes, I am from BC and it is beautiful, except when it rains.

Thanks!
Nicola

Nicky, Deb:  I really hope that they help you the way that they've done the trick for me.

Best of luck,

Mark.

Nicky...

If you wouldn't mind...why don't you...on a day that you are feeling up to it...

Write a post dedicated to Rebound...how you get yourslef there and what exactly the rebound cycles is. I think that a lot of people are putting themselves into rebound...but are definitely in denial about the whole thing...or just plain don't know that it exists...

Let me know if you need any resources or anything...

Thanks,

Sara

I haven't been in that position in a while and think it might be better from a "fresh" perspective? Of course, if you don't mind!

Hi Sarah,

I would be happy to. It's definitely something near and dear to my heart that I still struggle to stay away from.

MIGRELIEF IS THE ANSWER.

it is a pill with magnesium, riboflavin and feverfew(herb)
the combination of these three has been proven to knock migraines down and get rid of them all together. i highly reccommend it.

You can find it on line and it is inexpensive.

I took it in the form of MigraHealth...found it to be very helpful and much easier than taking the three ingredients separately.

You can find it at WalMart for $19.99 and there are times where you can find a coupon online at www.MigraHealth.com
