I've suffered from migraines for years. Lately they have gotten worse. I've kept a migraine diary and nothing seems to trigger them or have any significance to explain why I get them. I've had my current migraine for 2 1/2 weeks. This one is by far one of the worst I've had. I've had days is dull and I can function but most the time I'm hiding from life and sight and sounds. I was on topomax until 2 months ago because of all the side effects. I have tried relpax, maxalt, fioricet, immitrex and a toradol shot from the dr- nothing has helped. Today my dr perscribed Percocet. Has anyone else had similar issues? Advice? I've done everything from eating no gluten, using oils, cold rags etc.

Have you tried Verapamil? It is a blood pressure medicine but is being prescribed for migraines now. I have high blood pressure and over a year ago my doctor put me on verapamil and I noticed about a month later that I hadn't had a migraine or even a simple headache. I Have in fact not had a migraine in over a year since starting verapamil and I can count on one had the number of simple headaches I've had.

I go to a Pain management class and there is a lady there that suffers from migraines that last for days like yours. I mentioned the verapamil and she had the doctor (we see the same doctor) put her on verapamil, she reported at the last class after having taken verapamil for about a month that she hadn't had as many migraines and they don't last as long as they used to.

Anyway, you could talk to your doctor about it and see what they say. Hoping you soon find something that works, i know migraines are no fun.
