Hi newbie here ive started to suffer with whats belived to migranes for a while, i believe i have had symptoms for several years before they started to really impact me. Things like video games and films in high definition seem to be a major trigger for me which happens to be one of my favorite hobbies, the last few months my sysmptoms have been kept to a minium by avoiding them. I get a strange twitching on my face just above my lips alot of the time before and during any headaches that take place. When its bad i spend days in bed. I thought this was a good place to talk about my condition and prehaps learn ways of helping it that others have tried etc. When i get the migranes i often get a really depressing feeling with it which i find hard as im otherwise quite a happy person, is this common? I work out quite a bit and i find it effecting my energy levels at times too, Anyway im feeling quite frustrated by it at the moment and thought joining this may help to talk to others.

Hi there!

I don't frequent the Migraine forum often but you can find me quite frequently over on the Anxiety/Panic Disorders forum.

I suffer from occasional severe migraines and during my postdrome I feel depressed. Quite normal.

Hi, there I have had migraines for 17 years. Been to 4 neurologists, and have finally been able to figure out it is the WEATHER. I started headaches after having my 1 and only child, at 40. Dr, said hormones, had a total hysterectomy. Headaches worse than ever. Botox, gave me a headache. I had nose roto -routery surgery in the hopes more oxygen would elimiate some my pain.
I would suffer 12-13 days a month in bed like you. I,m so very sorry for your pain. ,,,, ,,, I know I wake up at 3:00 am with massive headache, if I could make to the bathroom, I gave myself a shot of Imitrex. 2 promethizine for nausea, and 2 Percocet. Go back to bed
pray the ttobbing would stop. believe it or not I think we need to be our own advocate. Ask for what we want and need if a medicine is given to you and it does not work . Don't be afraid to tell dr. Not helping need something else. We can get better speak up. My days in bed are down to 4 or5 that is managble, BLESSINGS
