I am getting headaches daily and the severity varies. I have suffered with headaches and migraines all my life. I have learned they are caused by: *stress/anxiety *food allergies * high humidity *hormonal. Also any combination of above.
I have been living on one 500 Novo-Naproxen and/or 2 extra strength Tylenols sometimes daily depending on my severity of my headache. *or one tylenol 3 (but this is causing constipation)!
I drink alot of water daily, I don't drink alcohol, don't smoke and no drugs. Healthy overall except for my mental issues.
my headaches often cause nausea, I get light & noise sensitivity and when not working, I can sleep all night+ then all day and then that naturally messes with my sleep and then when I am supposed to sleep all night, I'm then not tired anymore.
I am also getting the racing heart upon waking up and this is freaking me out.
I am presently on Desipramine but am reducing my dose to stop taking it because my doc is going to try something else.
Anyone else with similar issues?
Please... shakehead

Welcome Treehugger,

I have been diagnosed with the following : reverse Trigeminal Neuralgia;Cluster headaches; Atypical face pain;Hemicrania Continua;

In 2008, after 5 neurologists, I went to John Hopkins Univ, in Md and saw a Neuro diag. specialist. He put me the right combo of meds that kept my pain below a 4 on a scale of 1-10. I now see a doc at Thomas Jeff Univ in Phila. Pa. we have changed the meds a little, do to other meds being introduced for mental issues of PTSD etc....

I suggest you take the route of a diagnostic specialist in neuro, best to know what you are dealing with, to get on the correct meds.
