I have had migraines for 30+ years but by all other measures I am in good health. Over the last 3 years the headaches have been quite chronic probably 3 or 4 a week. I've seen several neurologists, a chiropractor, a naturopath, I've tried massage, I've tried acupuncture, herbs and all the preventative meds across all categories. Nothing worked.
Out of desperation, I got a medical marijuana card. I live in Oregon. I researched the local dispensaries and picked the one that was highly rated but also known for taking the medicinal aspects of the plant seriously.
I spoke with one of the owners at length. He recommended a particular strain that he knew some migraine sufferers had success with. I purchased a small quantity along with a vaporizer and started vaping a small amount every night before bed. The dose is small enough that I'm not experiencing the psychoactive effects one associates with marijuana. The results have been incredible and I'm down to about 1 migraine a week.
This has been life changing for me.
Keep in mind I was a medical marijuana skeptic and I'm not one to post on message boards, but the improvement has been so overwhelming that it would seem selfish not share my story with others who are suffering. Unfortunately, many of you who are reading this may not live in a state where medical marijuana is legal. Hopefully, that will change soon.
I can provide more specifics if people are interested.
